        Some may doubt her
Some may accuse her
But will she remain guilty unless proven innocent?

My debut novel has a storyline I’ll always be proud of. After many attempts to write it, this story led me to a tangible book with an actual start, middle, and end! It’s a story with a plot and true-to-life characters, for good or bad.

Guilty Until Proven Innocent is a contemporary romantic suspense novel with twists and turns and a lot of romance.  If murder, lust, betrayal, love, and romance are right up your alley, this is a book you may like.

Following the murder of an influential attorney, all eyes turn toward Michaela McCrea, the owner of a small Northern California B&B and widowed mother of a young son. Can she prove her innocence despite mounting evidence against her as the body count rises? And can she get the help she needs, and possibly find love, in the handsome detective assigned to her case as he fights to uncover the truth?

This book will be available for a short time on Amazon and Barnes & Noble until my contract with Fulton Books runs out. At that time, I plan to revise the book and self-publish, in which case I’ll remove some of the more intense “lust” scenes I felt embarrassed over, though I wrote them!  So, if you like erotica… now’s the time!

The image above is one my husband created and though we submitted it as a guideline to the vanity press we chose to publish the book, they came up with the final one after depicting a cover that had little to do with the actual book!

She stood up and walked over to the sink with her back to him, she said, “Because I have feelings for you too, and I think it’s a bad idea since you are involved with this case. And you look at me with interest and yet at the same time with suspicion.”

Sean stood and walked up behind her. He brushed the hair from her neck, and she leaned back, barely brushing his chest. He put his arms around her waist, drawing her close and laid his forehead atop the mass of curls.

She let out a shaky breath and relaxed into his hard frame, closing her eyes. He wasn’t the only one conflicted. He slowly turned her around, and she peered up at him with large green eyes that slowly inched down to his lips and then rose back up to meet his eyes. He lowered his head and brushed his lips against hers. The kiss deepened, and she placed her arms around his shoulders and raised on tiptoes to better fit his frame. He could feel her softness molding him, and her scent wafted up, encasing him in her sweet fragrance. The kiss was slow and sensual, not demanding and yet promising so much more.
