Food is sustenance to the human body, and so much more! We have a wonderful God who gave us taste buds to enjoy flavors. With the senses, we can enjoy food through sight, smell, and taste. I’m always amazed by what we seemingly take for granted – like taste!
I love cooking and have more recipes than I know what to do with. While I have designed thousands of crochet patterns over the years, I have even more recipes! And cookbooks—don’t let me stop in front of a cookbook aisle—there is always, ALWAYS, a recipe that entices me to purchase the book!
Aside from following recipe instructions, I sometimes like to experiment with an idea for a new recipe. Not all of them work out, but it’s fun being creative. You won’t see many baking recipes, but there will be plenty of pork, chicken, and fish recipes and breakfast ideas—specifically, French toast.
As far back as I can recall, I’ve planned meals out for the week, even a month (but those become difficult to adhere to), so I’ve resorted to weekly planning. When I was extra busy running Crochet Memories and designing (which often takes weeks to create a doily pattern and months for larger items like tablecloths), I’d be so busy it was practically impossible to implement meal plans – and stick with them!
That’s when I started blogging about what I planned to cook that week. Once I broadcast those plans, well, I HAD to follow through! Each week, I will post our meal plans right here! And if I were upfront, I also plan our breakfast and lunches, too. Yeah, sometimes, I’m a control freak and state I have OCD—only the C stands for Control!
