Did you know that crochet is a form of relaxation? It’s a form of therapy that calms the nerves and creates a sense of fulfillment. That alone makes this a great hobby. Crochet encompasses many facets, from home décor to clothing. It includes different mediums, from fine thread to bulky yarns. So, in essence, there is something for everyone!
My love of crochet started with finer lacy items like doilies. There was something special about crocheting with thread, and the beautiful pieces, from majestic angels to beautiful decorative fans and hats. My specialty soon became crinolines, and I became known as the crinoline lady.
There are so many stitches one can employ in crocheting articles, from the basics to more advanced stitches, and just when you think you’ve seen it all, new techniques are discovered daily.
